Cherish Photoshoot.

This week, I had a photo shoot for the organisation I intern with to promote their women's conference for next year. I have to admit I was a little shocked to be asked, I had never been asked for anything like this in my life! I choked out a small 'yes, yes of course' to the girl on the phone (maybe I should have played it a bit cooler) but I was a little past cool by this point. 

The conference is run by the Life Church in Bradford, and is a massive deal for women all over the country, I had heard the name of it even before moving to Bradford, so it must have been good if word about it it had reached the back and beyond of Cumbria! So to me, the promotion shoot which would appear in the brochure of Cherish 2014 and on the big screen as a promo video was a HUGE deal. 

I got to hair and makeup at 8 am in the morning and then shooting started at half 1, by the time I was in front of the camera I was a nervous wreck, I know a lot of girls (including myself) have dreamed about being a model or actor when they were younger, but I can honestly say there is nothing more frightening than a camera lens and a blank white screen behind you. Although feeling and probably looking like a rabbit in headlights, the photographer made me feel really at ease, I had a cap on which they found for me, which was good so I had something to focus my attention on, but it was so strange! I have never been cool enough to wear caps?! 

After the photo shoot I felt so so accomplished, something I thought I would never in a million years want to do never mind be asked to, I did! So please bear in mind, say yes to every opportunity you have, its amazing the freedom it brings you to try new things. So after finishing this blog post, I'm off to try some new things! This is my beautiful makeup artist Liv, who was phenomenal, she is one of my fabulous friends and is so so talented, my gorgeous girl!
